This is what it looks like in Carlsbad California right now. I had booked camping reservations months ago for this weekend and would have been packing up the motor home right now to leave after the kids get out of school today. As the news of the fires worsened day after day and the devastations of lost homes tore at our hearts, it seemed very inappropriate, cold, and insensitive to roll into town and enjoy ourselves at the beach while the rest of the county was burning. Hubby and I just didn't feel right about it at all. We decided to call and cancel our reservations, when doing so we learned that the freeway that runs parallel to the beach was closed as was the entire state campground where we were staying. The air in Southern California makes it quite hard to breath. My kids have not been out for recess all week because of poor air quality. I learned yesterday that Morgans teacher would find out when she went home if she and her family would be evacuated! Please pray for us in Southern California, obviously for those who have lost everything, but also for those of us who haven't, that we would know just what we might do to help.
Feel the Same way, It hit close to home again...We are all Emotionally and Physically Drained...Hoping things calm down in your area soon also. Try to Enjoy your weekend. Jamie

I've been praying for all of you folks in California. Such a tragedy. Now I'm praying that possible hot wind that's predicted in the news will come to naught. Follow your intuition and be safe.
