Welcome Class!

Welcome to registration! As you can see our classroom is small, so Im only accepting 20 students. I want to keep it small, and intimate. Any more and I don't feel like I would be able to give you  quality, personal attention. As I've mentioned I have set up a Yahoo group which we will be meeting in. Open conversation, Instruction,  pictures and links for supplies will all be private in our classroom. Only those who are class members will be privy to the information. You will be able to go at your own pace, on your own schedule, no driving or lodging, just a short trip to the computer and wha' la' your in class!  Please make sure you are able to access Yahoo groups before going to my shop. and purchasing the Class.

This jeweled bottle is our first project. I have this one on display sitting  on a copper and silver tray in my bathroom.

Good News/Bad News

The good news is that the response to a Junk 2 Jewels Workshop was an overwhelming " count me in"! so I have taken the first step  by creating a "yahoo group" for all the students to come hang out, compare notes, learn and chat.  This will be our "Classroom" so to speak. You will receive an invite to join the group after  registration fee is complete.........the bad news.....

 My computer is sick. Not great timing I know. Im taking it in later today to be worked on. This is why there is no picture accompanying this post. Part of the trouble is my Photo shop not opening. UGH! its always something.  My next post will be  featuring the workshop project, instructions for workshop payment, and hopefully some new bottles and stoppers for sale.

Keeping up with Requests!

 

Here are a few bottles to wet your appetite for some BIG  happenings for Junk 2 Jewels. Im putting together a soldering class. For all of you who have always wanted to try it yourself.The details are in the works. Im not certain yet if it will be on location, on-line or possibly both! "I saw Red"

Im playing along with Sara's "I Saw Red" photography challenge. Although we are contemplating a new color for the coming week, Im sneaking this photo in on the last day of this color challenge! I too chose red roses. I wrapped them in sheet music, tied them with silk ribbon in a buttery yellow color and placed them on top of a  vintage kitchen scale. If you'd like to play along, just go to her blog and click on the icon on the right  side of her blog and get the details. You can post as many or few pics. as you'd like. There is even a flickr group you can join. I think its a great way to challenge your photograpy skills, creativity and the flickr group is a fun place to hag out and chat with other talented photogs!
